Founded by Toowoomba makeup artist, Stacey Morris
Established in 2012, Mirror Mirror Makeup Artistry is a professional studio founded by Toowoomba makeup artist, Stacey Morris. The studio has thrived thanks to Stacey’s reverberant passion for makeup and her ability to seize an opportunity at a moment's notice. Growing up in a small country town, Stacey assumed makeup would have to remain a passionate hobby, opting to pursue a safer career path in accounting. A self-confessed type-A, she found herself uninspired by the world of numbers and audits, and yearned for a more fulfilling every day.
The loss of her mother in 2008 gave Stacey perspective and allowed her the space and time she needed to reassess what truly mattered. Juggling full time work, she dove headfirst into studying makeup and squeezing every event she possibly could into her spare time. Feeling ignited and lighthearted for the first time in years, Stacey recognised the value she offered her clients by being able to listen intently and understand their vision. It allowed her to help people feel truly beautiful at some of the most pivotal moments in their lives.
In the dead of winter, at the wedding industry's slowest time, Stacey left the constraints of her full time office job with just three week’s leave to live off. It was yet another leap of faith, but one that ultimately led to the growth and success of Mirror Mirror Makeup Artistry.
Now, alongside her Tanning Lounge leader, Kate, Stacey offers a suite of both in-studio and mobile makeup services. Specialising in wedding makeup for rural destination weddings, Stacey fills her weekends with travel between the Darling Downs, the Scenic Rim, New England Region and everywhere in between. And she absolutely loves every minute of it.

A personal note from Stacey
Makeup has always held more weight and importance than merely painting a face. Anyone can fill up their kit, pick up a brush and start creating something beautiful, but it takes a delicate balance of resilience, an openness to constant learning and a true love of people to become a successful makeup artist. And beyond the technical side of honing your craft and being able to translate this skill set onto each individual face, I care deeply about how people feel about themselves.
Despite succeeding in an appearance-focussed industry, I remain mindful of how we talk about the art of makeup. It’s never a ‘fix’ for your appearance, or a cover-up for your perceived flaws, but rather a pathway to confidence in your own skin. With this approach comes an ability to truly listen and understand client feedback, creating an open dialogue that allows you to feel comfortable providing feedback until we’ve perfected your final look.
